Atlanta Food Truck Stolen
The Brazilian-themed food truck was just about to begin operations when it was stolen last week, according to a report.

ATLANTA, GA -- An Atlanta family had their dreams stolen when thieves made off with their soon-to-open food truck last week, according to a report.
What was supposed to be the Brazilian Taste Truck was pilfered from the parking lot of a Piedmont Heights dance studio last Monday, according to a GoFundMe page set up in the wake of the theft.
The $20,000 food truck was the culmination of a lifelong dream and a lifetime of savings for Muriel Ribeiro, an immigrant who had been saving for 10 years with the goal of opening a business to support his family.

“After the food trailer was purchased, Muriel worked on it nights and weekends to install the equipment he purchased to outfit the trailer,” the GoFundMe page says.
Ribeiro told WSB-TV he had two locks on his truck to prevent someone from stealing it from its parking spot, but thieves managed to get in anyway and drive off with his dream.

“His project was nearing completion, when the tragedy occurred,” the GoFundMe says. “The family business was taken from them before they could manifest their dream. And even worse, they now have no savings reserved to rebuild their dream.”
A friend of Ribeiro’s has set up a GoFundMe page to help him afford a new food trailer so he can get his business back on track. You may donate to the cause through the widget below.
