Buckhead Development Sheds Hotel Plans For All Apartments

Buckhead Place plan for mixed-use development with hotel and residential space has been retooled to only feature apartments.

ATLANTA — A Buckhead multi-use development slated for hotel and rental space is now reportedly being reimagined with more residences and no lodging.

The change of plans for the Buckhead Place shopping center parking lot at 2214 Piedmont Road will shed the hotel plans to be a full-realized apartment building, according to What Now Atlanta.

Rather than the initially planned 186 hotel rooms and 245 residential units, the new details will feature an eight-story, 290-unit apartment building. Also trimmed from the planning was the number of parking spaces, dropping from 690 to 528, according to reports.
