Buckhead Restaurants Donate Meals To Coronavirus Front Lines

BUCKHEAD, GA – A local restaurant group and its team of employees is appealing to the community to raise money to help provide meals for Atlanta's essential workers who are on the front lines of the new coronavirus pandemic response.

Skyline Restaurant Group, which owns ToGo Bistro and Center Markets One and Two, closed indefinitely due to the coronavirus. During this time, the group started a GoFundMe page called "Edibles for the INCREDIBLES," which aims to raise $15,000 in donations in order to make meals that will be donated to local hospitals, urgent care centers, fire departments, police departments and EMS departments.

As of Thursday afternoon, the page has raised nearly $11,000.

"Rather than seeking donations to simply pay our employees while we are closed, we have devised a plan to get them back to work and provide much needed support for our community," the group said on the fundraising page.

So far, the group has connected with police and fire departments in Brookhaven, Buckhead, Chamblee Atlanta and Doraville, as well as The Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation to provide curb-side pickup and delivery of meals for all of their employees who are working during the pandemic and statewide shelter-in-place order.

"We would like to say THANK YOU (sic) to all of our customers, front line personnel and to all those who donate to help us achieve our goal," the group said on the fundraising page.
