Buckhead's Blue Heron Nature Preserve Offers Beehive Inspections
The next beehive inspection at the nature preserve is this weekend, the Metro Atlanta Beekeeper's Association says.

The Blue Heron Nature Preserve is partnering with the Metro Atlanta Beekeeper’s Association (MABA) to offer a series of beehive inspections across the metro Atlanta area this summer.

According to the MABA website, the next inspection at the nature preserve will be on Saturday, May 30 at 11 a.m. The preserve has two beehives, one inside the community garden and the second in the meadow. MABA member Gina Gallucci will conduct the Saturday inspection session.
Each session is limited to 10 participants, and non-association members are asked to pay a $15 fee to participate. To join Saturday’s inspection, e-mail Gina Gallucci. Please include the subject “May 30 Hive Inspection” and include your contact information (name, address, telephone number) in the body of the email.

If you cannot make it to Saturday’s event, further inspections will be held at the East Lake Community Garden on June 6 and in Alpharetta on June 21. Further information on these inspections can be found on MABA’s website.
