BUCKHEAD, GA — Moroccan restaurant, the Imperial Fez, will relocate from Buckhead to Berkeley Lake in Gwinnett County next month. In a Facebook post, the husband and wife owned business said that after 30 years they will be changing locations in March.

“We would like to first express our immense gratitude and sincere thanks for all of the support you have given us over the last 30 years and are excited to see everyone at our new location,” said Rita Benjelloun in a statement.

The Imperial Fez is known for its traditional flavorful foods of North Africa with authentic Middle Eastern shows, belly dancing and theatrical performances. The restaurant has been featured on the Food Network’s “Craziest Restaurants in America.”

Rafih Benjelloun tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the building’s new owners have lengthy renovations scheduled that would require the Imperial Fez to shut down for several months. The couple chose to relocate to keep business running.

Their last day in Buckhead has been tentatively scheduled for Feb. 29, although they’re seeking more time since March reservations have already been set.

Reservations at the new location can be made by calling 404-351-0870.
