Covenant Presbyterian Church’s Advent and Christmas Services
Covenant Presbyterian Church will begin celebrating the Season of Advent on Dec. 1, leading up to a Candlelight Christmas Eve service.

Covenant Presbyterian Church will begin celebrating the Season of Advent on Sunday, Dec. 1, leading up to a beautiful Candlelight Christmas Eve service on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 5:30 p.m. All are invited to join Covenant’s congregation for some or all of the Advent and Christmas season worship services in the church’s sanctuary, located at 2461 Peachtree Road in Buckhead.
Covenant’s Advent programs and services invite people into a season of waiting, particularly those who are often forgotten at Christmas. The season will begin Sunday, Dec. 1, which is also World AIDS Day. Covenant will hold a vigil to remember those who were lost to the AIDS epidemic from 2-5 p.m. in the Chapel. In partnership with the Names Project, a panel of the AIDS Quilt will be displayed in the Chapel. Music will be offered on the church’s new Hauptwerk organ. The vigil is open to the public, and all are welcome to join for a meditative time of remembrance and reflection.
The fourth Sunday of Advent, December 22, will include a service of Lessons and Carols during the 11 a.m. worship service, featuring special music. The Covenant Choir and Handbell Choir will present “Come Ye Faithful,” a work by Hal Hopson, with organ and chamber orchestra.

“We live in hectic and stressful times,” said Rev. Richard Hill, Covenant's pastor. “So many of us are anxious and even fearful, as we rush about the busyness of our lives. I invite everyone to join us during Advent and Christmas Eve at Covenant Presbyterian Church to find ‘peace on earth, good will for all’.”
