Covenant Presbyterian Offers Roadside Views of the Peachtree Road Race, Saturday Morning, July 4

Covenant Presbyterian Church, your neighborhood church on Peachtree, invites everyone to cheer the runners of the Peachtree Road Race.

Dr. Ernie Hess, senior pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church (front), cheers on the Peachtree Road Race runners with members of his congregation, friends and neighbors.

Everyone is invited to cheer on the runners of the 2015 Peachtree Road Race from the front lawn and plaza of Covenant Presbyterian Church on the morning of July 4. The church is located at 2461 Peachtree Road just north of Peachtree Battle Shopping Center. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., church members will welcome visitors with donuts and coffee as they cheer the runners participating in one of Atlanta’s great 4th of July traditions.

“Our front lawn offers a wonderful view both north and south as the runners come down Peachtree from West Wesley and before they begin the ascent up ‘Heartbreak Hill’ to Piedmont Hospital,” says Dr. Ernie Hess, senior pastor of Covenant Presbyterian. “It’s always so much fun to come together with neighbors and friends to cheer for the runners and celebrate our nation’s birth. I want to extend a personal invitation to everyone to please come back to Covenant and join us for one or more of our summer worship services each Sunday at 11 a.m. Our fall Sunday School classes will resume at 9:30 a.m. beginning Aug. 30.”
