Deadly Buckhead Shooting Suspect, Arrested, Faces Charges

BUCKHEAD, GA — Police arrested a suspect Wednesday in connection to a fatal Buckhead apartment shooting. Michael Miata, 29, is in custody in Queens, police announced Friday.

After the deadly shooting of 40-year-old Keithan Joran Hillman at the Peachtree Park Apartments in Atlanta, police identified Miata as the suspect, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Miata faces a charge of felony murder and is expected to be extradited to Georgia.

According to police, Miata Hillman had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said that he was involved in a fight with another man before the shooting.
