Dorsey Alston, Realtors Named Top Workplace
Atlanta's oldest, largest locally-owned & operated real estate firm earns top honor after landing in second spot last three years

Atlanta’s oldest and largest locally-owned and operated real estate firm Dorsey Alston, Realtors has been named the Top Workplace by the AJC for 2020 in the medium-sized company category.
“We are thrilled to be recognized as the Top Workplace by the AJC,” said Dorsey Alston, Realtors President and CEO Michael Rogers. “We pride ourselves on our team, and we work hard to listen to their needs including providing opportunities for advancement, industry-leading benefits and flexibility.”
This marks the sixth year in a row Dorsey Alston, which was founded in 1947 by Roy Dorsey and Robert Alston, has been recognized by the premier newspaper in the South as a Top Workplace. Dorsey Alston ranked No. 2 in the midsize category in 2019, 2018 and 2017. It earned the No. 1 ranking in 2016. The newspaper honored Rogers as the top leader of a medium-sized company that year as well.

Rogers’ father, Paul Rogers, purchased Dorsey Alston from the founders in 1985. Michael Rogers is just the third president and CEO in the company’s more than seven decades in business. Rogers was raised in Atlanta and graduated from The Westminster Schools, the University of Virginia and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Dorsey Alston remains a closely-held family business, which is reflected in its culture.

The list is based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a Philadelphia-based human resources consulting company. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection. More than 4,300 companies were nominated for the 2020 Top Workplaces award.
