Dozens of Graves Located Under Popular Atlanta Golf Gourse

A surveyor has determined a popular Atlanta golf course contains as many as 84 old and unmarked graves.

As WSB TV reports, the graves are at the heavily-played North Fulton Golf Course, which is operated by American Golf Corporation for the City of Atlanta.

The graves at the course in Buckhead’s Chastain Park are located behind to the fifth green.

A representative of Chastain Park Conservancy told the news outlet that Fulton County operated a pair of poorhouses in the park from 1911 to the 1960s, and he surmised people buried under the course lived in those poorhouses.
