Drones To Patrol Lenox Square Mall: Reports

ATLANTA - Could drones buzzing overhead be a part of the Lenox Square shopping experience in the near future?

If planners of the Buckhead Security Plan have their way, it is a possibility, according to Reporters Newspapers.

During a meeting on Thursday sponsored by the Buckhead Business Association, Jim Durrett, president of the Buckhead Coalition, said the ambitious security plan announced in December will feature a pilot program with new police technology involving the “novel use of drones to have additional eyes in certain areas,” according to reports.

Durrett said Lenox Square shopping mall would be a testing ground for the pilot program.
