Evercare Hospice Earns Accreditation

The designation is sought to ensure patients in this community receive the highest quality clinical expertise and emotional and spiritual support from dedicated, compassionate care providers

Evercare Hospice & Palliative Care in Atlanta was recently awarded accreditation from the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) under the CHAP Hospice Standards of Excellence. Serving patients in Atlanta and its surrounding areas, this accreditation demonstrates that Evercare meets and exceeds the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards of quality and care, according to a release from Evercare.

According to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, 1.5 to 1.6 million people accessed hospice care in 2012, a five percent increase since 2011. With a growing need for hospice services, CHAP accreditation ensures patients in this community receive the highest quality clinical expertise and emotional and spiritual support from dedicated, compassionate care providers.

CHAP, an independent, not-for-profit organization, selects hospices for accreditation based on an extensive review of patient outcomes, quality of services and products, human and financial resources managementand long term viability.
