First-ever Fusion Academy School Opens in Atlanta
One-to-One School Features "No Homework that Goes Home"
From Fusion Academy:After the successful opening of more than 50 campuses across the U.S., Fusion Academy, a school offering a personalized learning approach for students in grades 6-12, is opening its first-ever campus in Georgia. The school will be located at the Atlanta Financial Center, 3353 Peachtree Rd NE, Suite 100-M.
Fusion Academy Buckhead, a one-to-one school (one teacher, one student), is slated to open in April. The accredited private school customizes every aspect of the educational experience for students in middle and high school and will become just the second option in the area for families interested in personalized learning. The school will serve students who would benefit from the one-to-one classroom environment. Christina Neri, LCSW, a Fusion veteran of four years, will lead the school. Christina is a licensed clinical social worker with a background in education. Her expertise is in social emotional learning, and the use of clinical social work to help students thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Born and raised in Chicago, Christina, along with her family, have relocated to Georgia to serve Buckhead students and families. “Having opened a Fusion Academy campus in my hometown of Chicago, I have seen first-hand the transformative impact one-on-one learning can have,” said Christina. “Social and emotional learning is a concept so influential on a teenager’s growth that experts in psychology, social work and education all recognize it as a critical element of learning. I am humbled to be a part of accessing the untapped potential of students in and around Buckhead through personalized learning.”
At Fusion Academy Buckhead, Christina will be joined by Jennifer Harris, the Director of Admissions and Outreach. Having worked in admissions for the past 10 years, Jennifer has extensive experience in connecting families to higher education. With more than 12 years of education experience in Alabama and Georgia, Jennifer has a history of supporting families in finding institutions that are the best fit for them based on career and life goals. Fusion offers customized scheduling to meet the growing demands on students outside the classroom. At Fusion, homework is completed with help and supervision from a teacher in the Homework Café® on campus—they don’t take it home. This enables students to spend quality time with family and friends, or pursue competitive talents, sports and philanthropic work. Fusion Academy, an accredited family of one-to-one schools, was founded in San Diego, California, in 1989. For more information, or to enroll, visit www.FusionBuckhead.com.
