The Force Is Clearly With Chalk Art Along Path400 in Buckhead

Nonprofit group Livable Buckhead creates 'Star Wars'-themed mural on pedestrian greenway.

The nonprofit group Livable Buckhead recently partnered with local artists to create a series of "Star Wars"-themed murals on PATH400, and the Force is strong with the project.

The murals, created on panels near Wieuca Road, were part of a two-day project beginning on Dec. 3 by artists belonging to the Chalk Artists Guild.

The "Star Wars Rogue One" art project commemorates the opening of PATH400, a walkable and bikeable greenway that will eventually stretch more than 5 miles. Drawings included such well-known characters such as Yoda and Darth Vader.

PATH400 is part of a planned network of green space and trails that will eventually connect more than 100 acres of Buckhead's neighborhoods.

The Livable Buckhead website PATH400 says that the project "runs along the spine of GA 400 and, once complete, will provide a 5.2 mile greenway through the heart of Buckhead, connecting neighborhoods, office and retail locations with a path for bicyclists and pedestrians. The multi-use greenway will eventually join with the Atlanta Beltline in the south and trails in Sandy Springs and north Fulton County, providing a key link in a regional trail network."
