Galloway School Picks Familiar Faces as Leaders

Jim Hilleary was named director of G360, a new position, and Josh Burr returns to the school, this time to be athletics director.

The Galloway School began the year with familiar faces finding themselves in new leadership roles.

Recently acting as Galloway's athletics director, Jim Hilleary has been selected for the newly-created position of director of G360, a reinvention of Galloway's after-school programming.

Josh Burr, who was assistant athletics director for five years at Galloway and then left to spend five months as athletics director of The Howard School, is returning to Galloway as athletics director.

Burr says, “I am very honored to have the opportunity to come back to Galloway. Jim [Hilleary] is a close friend and a mentor and I look forward to building on the foundation that he put in place for the Galloway Athletics Department. I am excited to be reunited with #ScotsNation and ready to see what the future holds.”

Founded by Elliott Galloway in 1969, The Galloway School is a philosophically grounded, learner-focused independent school where students age 3 through grade 12 are taught to develop an abiding love for learning. Galloway serves a diverse student body of approximately 747 students who come together to pursue its collective values: individuality, fearlessness, mastery, and community.

Galloway Athletics offers 11 different competitive sports teams for boys and girls. The school has a gymnasium, a full-size soccer field, and a track on school property.nIt partners with other organizations to share facilities.
