Georgia Grille announced Monday that the longtime business known for its lobster enchiladas and margaritas is not reopening.

ATLANTA, GA — A longtime Buckhead restaurant known for its lobster enchiladas and margaritas is closing its doors for good. Georgia Grille’s owner, Karen Hillard announced on Facebook that after 30 years, “it’s time to say goodbye.” She wrote the post on Monday saying she was grateful for the customers, employees and vendors.

“Grateful for everyone that joined with us to create a special place for the community to come together and celebrate life,” she wrote.

The news comes a little over a month after announcing they’ll be closed for a few days to figure out the next steps.

“Georgia Grille family, although we’ve never really been a place to practice social distancing, we hold the safety and wellness of our friends and family above all else. On the guidance of the CDC and our Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, we will be closed for a few days while we figure out moving forward...together. We can assure you, somehow, someway, we will be here to serve you very soon.”

Since 1990, Hilliard and her staff have been serving her “unique interpretation of Southwestern fare in a casual, kicked-back style.” Georgia Grille is located at 2290 Peachtree Rd NW.
