Georgia Weather: Rain, Then Thunderstorms, This Weekend
Find out when it's supposed to rain in metro Atlanta this weekend, and when a chance of showers will turn to thunderstorms.

ATLANTA, GA — It looks like metro Atlanta could be in for a soggy weekend, with a chance of rain the next couple of days turning into a chance for thunderstorms by Sunday.
Friday should actually stay mostly sunny, with just a slight chance of showers around midday and into the early afternoon. On Saturday, we're still just looking at a 20 percent chance of showers during most of the day.
But that chance will jump up to 50 percent by Saturday night. And, on Sunday, it'll be a 70 percent chance of rain during the day, jumping to an 80 percent chance Sunday night — when we'll also get a chance of thunderstorms.
