Georgia Weather: Snow, Bitter Cold On The Way
Find out when it's expected to snow in metro Atlanta and just how cold it's going to get in the next couple of days.

ATLANTA, GA — After a relatively mild MLK Day, metro Atlanta is in for snow, and bitter cold, in the next day or so. Light snow over north and west Georgia could start as early as Tuesday afternoon and, by Tuesday night, wind chills could make the temperature feel like zero degrees.
In a special weather statement on Monday, the National Weather Service said the snow could start as soon as noon Tuesday in far northwest Georgia and spread into west-central and northeast Georgia, including metro Atlanta, by the evening.
After 9 p.m., wind chills will be in the single digits, according to the NWS.

The metro area should get less than one inch of snow. But because of the freezing temperatures, any snow that falls likely will stay on the roads and ground all the way through Thursday morning, the weather service said.
