Giuliani Endorses Vernon Jones, To Speak At Campaign Dinner
Rudy Giuliani and former NYC Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik to lend their crime-fighting reputations to Jones' campaign for governor.

ATLANTA — Rudy Giuliani will headline a campaign fundraiser for GOP gubernatorial candidate Vernon Jones on Wednesday evening at the Buckhead Club.
The personal attorney for former President Donald Trump and former mayor of New York City is endorsing Jones, who plans to challenge Gov. Brian Kemp in the 2022 Republican primary, Jones’ spokesperson, Carolyn Ryan told Patch.
The dinner is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., at the Buckhead Club, 3344 Peachtree Road, Atlanta.

Joining Giuliani will be former New York City Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik, who served when Giuliani was mayor.
Both Kerik and Giuliani will support Jones’ tough-on-crime stance and likely will weigh in on the aims of the Buckhead Exploratory Committee, who are seeking to pluck Buckhead - where the fundraiser is being held - out from Atlanta’s jurisdiction to become its own city.

“Given their experience with law enforcement, they’re very engaged with the law and order issue and they’re watching what’s going on in Buckhead and in Atlanta,” said Ryan, Jones’ communications director.
Giuliani has been in the news recently, however, for having his New York State law license suspended last week and for reports he is the source of a federal investigation into possible improper lobbying.
Kerik was pardoned last year by Trump, after pleading guilty in 2009 to eight federal felony tax and false statement charges.
When: Wednesday, June 30, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Where: Buckhead Club, 3344 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 2600 Atlanta
