GOP Party Chair Candidates To Debate In Buckhead
The new GOP meeting will be held Tuesday evening at the Cross Creek Café.

BUCKHEAD, GA -- Buckhead will be the site of a candidate debate this week for the chair of the Georgia Republican Party, Patch has learned.
The debate, hosted by the Buckhead Republicans, will be at the group's Tuesday evening meeting at the Cross Creek Café.
The debate will be between these four candidates: District 12 Georgia GOP chair Michael Welsh, local attorney Alex Johnson, political strategist John Watson and GOP Party Vice-Chair Michael McNeely. The event will be moderated by Phil Kent of “The Georgia Gang."

The debate figures to focus on the holding the gains made in the Georgia General Assembly and in Congress as well as rallying around the Trump Administration.
The GOP chair will replace John Padgett, who will not seek a third term.

The election is slated for early June during the party’s annual convention in Augusta.
