More than $290,000 was raised during the Bubbles & Bling event, which will be dedicated specifically to funding metastatic (stage IV) breast cancer research. At the event, Komen Atlanta welcomed three inspiring women who are battling metastatic breast cancer to share their personal and emotional stories of how they are fighting the disease.
“Bubbles & Bling is one of our most popular events of the year, but the importance of the funds raised cannot be overstated,” said Cati Diamond Stone, CEO, Komen Atlanta. “We have a bold goal to reduce breast cancer deaths in the US by 50% by 2026, and our commitment to funding metastatic breast cancer research is a key component of reaching our goal.”
