Morgan Stanley Volunteers Bring Easter Cheer to Young Patients
Donation and Easter activities were highlights for the patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
Local volunteers from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Buckhead and Atlanta Perimeter complexes sponsored an Easter event for the young patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Held at The Zone activity center where children recovering from illnesses go to play, relax and get out of their hospital rooms, 28 Morgan Stanley volunteers set up activity centers such as gift buckets, Adopt-a-Bunny, arts and crafts, snacks, and a photo booth. Games such as Racing Peeps, Pin the Tail on the Bunny, Carrot Toss, and “Bunny Holes,” where the children reached in to a “Bunny Hole” to pick a prize, were also in full swing. Happy Tails Pet Therapy brought dogs for the kids to interact with and to the delight of the children, the Easter Bunny made an appearance to bring extra smiles.
Morgan Stanley Buckhead Complex Manager Max Hilsman and firm volunteers presented a $15,000 check on behalf of the Morgan Stanley Foundation to the Zone at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. “Morgan Stanley is honored to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and all the great work they do for the children and families in our community,” said Hilsman. “Many an employee or a friend of an employee, knows someone who has been helped by the wonderful people at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and we are thrilled to give back with this annual event.”
