Powers Ferry Road Closing For Water Main Work

ATLANTA, GA — A portion of Powers Ferry Road in Atlanta will be closed Saturday as crews work to repair a water main leak there.

The leak, on a 20-inch water main, is located just north of 5251 Powers Ferry Road. That portion of the road will be closed from midnight-8 a.m. Saturday for repairs.

The closure is necessary because the water main is in the middle of the road, city officials said.

Traffic in the area will be detoured using Mt. Vernon Parkway. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and avoid the area if possible.
