Warrick Dunn Charities Surprises Women with $5K, Furniture
The Buckhead-based charity helped with a down payment on the single mothers' Habitat homes and arranging furnishings from Aaron's.
Homes for the Holidays, a program of Buckhead-based Warrick Dunn Charities, helped two women move into fully furnished homes built by Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
In a surprise to the women on Tuesday, the program presented two single mothers and their children with $5,000 of down payment assistance on their first home, complete with home furnishings and furniture from Aaron’s.
It's the 12th year Atlanta Habitat homebuyers have been recipients of the charities Home for the Holidays program. The two fully furnished homes on Dec. 17 were the 22nd and 23rd homes, in the program, with Warrick Dunn Charities making an impact on 75 individual family members in Atlanta.
