Water Main Break Affects Several Buckhead Homes, Businesses

A tree reportedly fell on a 16-inch water main on Northside Parkway NW near West Paces Ferry Road NW, Atlanta Watershed said.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Department of Watershed crews are working to repair a water main break at the corner of Northside Parkway NW and West Paces Ferry Road, the city said Wednesday afternoon.

A tree fell and hit the 16-inch water main, the city noted on its Facebook page. Water service may be temporarily interrupted for the department to complete the repair. This will affect about 15 to 20 homes on East Beechwood Drive and businesses along Northside Parkway between Beechwood and West Paces Ferry Road, the agency said.

Businesses impacted include West Stride Shoe Store, Ace Hardware, Peros Pizza, AT&T, Carriage Cleaners, Lush Nail and Spa, Houston’s Restaurant and The Church of the Apostles.

Atlanta Watershed notes repairs will take a few hours to complete, so the department said it will be delivering water to the site for affected businesses and residents who need this essential nutrient.
