Wells Fargo Awards $5K to LaAmistad Family Food Support Fund

Funding will support LaAmistad's continued efforts to fight food insecurity during COVID-19

Atlanta, GA, 07/13/20 - LaAmistad Inc., a leading Latino-focused 501c3 non-profit in the field of education, received a $5,000.00 grant on 06/17/20. The grant was endowed by The Wells Fargo Foundation to support LaAmistad Student Family Support Fund.

The goal of the project is to assist LaAmistad’s over 300 Latino students and their respective families during COVID-19. In response to the current public health crisis, LaAmistad has prioritized serving as a main point of contact and information for low-income Latino families. To meet families’ immediate and critical need, LaAmistad established its Student Family Support Fund.

Supporters of LaAmistad’s mission have been kind enough to donate funds that will assist in providing groceries to our families on a weekly basis. A cost which many have expressed difficulty meeting.
