Where Buckhead Goes to Work

I recently stumbled across this interesting webite, which allows people to enter ZIP codes and see commute patterns for different communities.

A few quick searches revealed that most Buckhead residents don't travel terribly far for work.

As a longtime Atlanta-area resident, I've always thought the key to happiness here is to live as close to work as possible. It looks like many Buckhead residents agree.

But Buckhead is also a major employment center for the metro area, which means that many people do find themselves commuting from far-flung communities to get here. Pity the people who drive from Peachtree City to work in the 30305 ZIP. For that 1.7% of the workforce, it's a 40 mile drive that takes a solid hour, and that's when traffic is good.
