Charter School's Beta Club Supports Goshen Valley Boys Ranch

From Cherokee Charter Academy 6th grade student & Junior Beta Club member Mia Corbell

Beta Club members from Cherokee Charter Academy volunteered at Goshen Valley Boys Ranch in Waleska, Georgia. We were placed into work groups- some of us painted inside one of the homes, while others worked on landscaping projects; laying pinestraw, taking down a fence and cleaning up around the property. The biggest job was cutting down branches from Bradford Pear trees alongside the driveway. With everyone lending a hand and with the help of some of our strong CCA dads, we cleaned up a lot and made the some improvements around the ranch. Some of us even caught a ride on the trucks which was great fun! Even though it was a chilly day, it was heartwarming to see all of these people come together for such a great cause. Goshen Ranch Boys Ranch welcomes volunteers every second Saturday and the CCA Beta Club hopes to return to help out again soon.
