Cherokee Charter Beta Club Learns Leadership at Student Summit

This story is from Kaitlyn Carson, CCA Middle School Junior Beta Club President

Cherokee Charter Academy Junior Beta Club took 8 middle school students to Jekyll Island for National Beta Club’s Student Leadership Summit.

They spent two days with Beta Club members from all over the region, learning what it takes to be an effective leader. The students participated in two competitions, including Service Snapshot, highlighting a service project they created. Their project focused on creating Easter baskets to donate to Never Alone Ministries. They received high ratings for the project so they can advance to the National Beta Club Convention in Orlando this summer.

I had a wonderful experience at the Beta Student Leadership Summit. I learned many new things not only about friendship and maturity, but about life. The motivational speaker at Leadership Summit taught me that all the giving back to others doesn’t have to end in Beta. We can teach and help others outside of the community as well.
