Cherokee County Schools Calendar, Schedule

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA -- As the 2016-2017 school year wraps up, planning for the next school year is already underway. The Cherokee County School District (CCSD) 2017-2018 year will begin on Tuesday, August 1. The front office of each school will be open starting Tuesday, July 18 to take care of administrative matters.

Parents of students new to CCSD can begin registering their children on July 18, at their respective school, from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

The district released a schedule of pre-planning walk-through events, which will take place between July 25 and July 31 throughout the district. All of the elementary school walk-through events on July 28, with the exception of Macedonia and Canton Elementary schools, which are hosting their events on July 27. Each event will give parents access to class schedules and teacher assignments. You can see the full schedule here.

The CCSD website says, "Cherokee County School District is a high-performing public school system in Metro Atlanta," and is home to 41 schools and centers, 4,500 employees and more than 41,000 students.
