City Receives Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
Holly Springs received the honor for its 2014 comprehensive annual financial report, or CAFR.

Holly Springs has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association for its 2014 comprehensive annual financial report, the city said Monday.
Rob Logan, city manager and finance director for the city, was presented with the award.

According to GFOA, the honor is “the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.”
“The CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users or user groups to read the CAFR,“ the organization said.

Holly Springs also received this award for their 2012 and 2013 comprehensive annual financial reports.
