Event Allows Residents To Recycle Electronics, Shred Documents

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce will commemorate Earth Day with a free recycling event April 22 in Canton.

Holly Springs and Hickory Flat residents are invited to take part in the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce’s recycling event commemorating Earth Day.

Residents will be able to recycle a slew of items from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 in the Chamber’s parking lot, which is at 3605 Marietta Highway in Canton.

The event will be held in partnership with Autumn Hill Nursery, Next Step Ministries, North Metro Waste, SAFE KIDS Cherokee County, Premier Surplus and Georgia Document Destruction, Inc.

Residents will have the opportunity to recycle aluminum drink cans, smart phones, cell phones, used gardening pots/containers, car seats and electronics. Document and file destruction will also be available (shredding will be limited to six archive size boxes). The event will be held rain or shine.
