Gold Swimmer Scores Top Award at National Championship Meet
Emma Cole is a 17-year-old senior at Walton High School in Marietta

Chattahoochee Gold's Emma Cole competed at the AT&T National Championship swim meet at Georgia Tech this past weekend. She swam against some of the top swimmers in the nation, including USA Olympic team members.
Emma won the 18-U award in the 50 Freestyle. This award is given to the highest placing high school swimmer in each event. Her time was 22.63, which is the second fastest time in this event in the nation for 17 girls for 2016.
She also swam in the championship finals in the 200 Freestyle with a fourth place finish, and in the 100 Freestyle with a fifth place finish.

Emma was a 2016 Olympic Trials qualifier in 100 & 200 Freestyle and will be swimming for the University of North Carolina in the fall.
Chattahoochee Gold is one of the first swim clubs in the nation to be awarded USA Swimming's Level 4 status.
