Gold Swimmers to Represent U.S. in Ireland
The Irish National Swim Meet runs from April 30th through May 3rd in Dublin.
Chattahoochee Gold swimmers Lauren Case (age 16) and Alarii Levreault-Lopez (age 18) have been chosen for an All-American swim team to represent the United States at the upcoming Irish National Meet in Dublin.
The All-American team was selected at the just-completed NCSA Junior National Meet in Orlando. At that meet, Lauren came in first in 100 Butterfly, second in 50 Butterfly, third in 200 Butterfly and third in 200 Freestyle. Alarii had a fourth place finish in the 200 Butterfly.
Besides Lauren & Alarii, the other Gold swimmers competing at the Junior National Meet were Caroline Aikins, Katherine Aikins, Landon Ballard, Logan Belt, Brogran Bunner, Emma Cole, Jack Dalmolin, Kristina Friedrichs, Bayley Frierson, Tyler Garvey, Alexis Glunn, Jaclyn Hill, Rachel Pelzek, Emilia Rittenbach, Joseph Young & Jonathan Young.

Anxiously looking ahead to the meet in Ireland, Lauren says, “I’ve been working towards representing the United States for a long time now, and I couldn’t be more excited to be going to Ireland as my first international trip.” Alarii credits Chattahoochee Gold for the opportunity, “It is the first time I’ve been able to represent the USA at a swim meet and I can’t wait to give all the glory to Chattahoochee Gold for getting me to this stage. I’m a little nervous but I’m sure that once we’ll be alongside our brothers and sisters from the U.S., pressure will fade, adrenaline will take over, and Lauren and I will be ready to throw it down.”
The Chattahoochee Gold year-round club team is based in Woodstock and trains swimmers at the Woodstock Aquatic Center, Cherokee County Aquatic Center in Holly Springs, Mountain View Aquatic Center in East Cobb and Cumming Aquatic Center in Forsyth County.
