Families at Cherokee Charter Academy in Canton want the community to know about a special little girl who needs our help.
In a few short weeks, Harper Faith Fry turns 4-years-old. But she and her family face an anguishing and unpredictable road ahead.
Harper was recently diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Metachromatic Leukodystrophy. There is no known cure for the disease which can lead to paralysis, dementia and blindness.

Harper’s older sisters, Lilee and Hanna are students at Cherokee Charter. The CCA community has rallied to help the family. There’s a GoFundMe webpage to collect donations and sales of “Rainbow Loom” bracelets to raise funds.
There’s also a fundraising concert in the works for October 4th from 11 am to 6 pm at Mountain Park in Roswell called “Harmonies for Harper.” Lots of family fun is planned including live bands, bouncies, face painting, a raffle and more.
Contributions for Harper’s family can be made to a special account in Harper’s name at any Wells Fargo bank branch.
Harper’s mom Lindsay says, "We hope that Harper's story will help other people who have, or will go through something like this. We never in a million years thought something like this would happen to us but it did and now all we can do is appreciate the blessings of each day and try to make some good out of our situation."
