Holly Springs, Hickory Flat Student Athletes Sign Scholarship Commitment Letters
The Cherokee County School District recognized these students at a ceremony April 15.
Thirty-five Cherokee County School District student-athletes were recognized on Wednesday for signing scholarship commitment letters to compete at the collegiate level.
This latest crop of commitments includes the first rodeo/bull-riding scholarship received by a student in the Cherokee County School District, Clay Pannell of Cherokee high School.
These 35 students join the 86 honored in February for their scholarship commitments, for a total of 121 athletic scholarship signees recognized in the class of 2015.

Sponsored by Credit Union of Georgia and coordinated by the district’s Office of School Operations, the students, along with their parents, coaches, athletic directors and principals, were honored at a brunch for making their college choices for a variety of sports, including rodeo, baseball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, tennis, cross country, track, wrestling and football.
