Macedonia ES Raises More Than $15,000 Through Jump Rope for Heart

Cardio event benefits the American Heart Association

Macedonia Elementary School students raised $15,771.49 in donations for the American Heart Association through the national Jump Rope for Heart event!

Students in Grades K-5 took part in a two-week jump rope unit to help their own hearts grow stronger while having fun exercising, and all had the opportunity to help raise funds for the Association.

Students found many creative ways to help the cause… such as sending emails to invite family and friends to donate, creating campaign videos, collecting change and even selling lemonade and baked goods to raise money. Sisters Elizabeth and Kennedy Sanford were the top fundraisers, each raising $815!
