School District Chooses New Date For Inaugural Senior Bowl
The Cherokee County School District previously postponed the bowl, as Etowah High School was in the high school football playoffs.

The Cherokee County School District has chosen a new date for its Inaugural Northside Hospital-Cherokee CCSD Senior Bowl.
The bowl will now take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18 at Etowah High School.
The game was originally scheduled for Dec. 5, but Etowah High School’s football victory over Newton High School on Nov. 28 prompted the district to reschedule the festivities “so that its seniors may participate as well.”

Etowah lost that Dec. 5 playoff game against Archer in the Class 6A semifinals.
This football game — the first of its kind for the district — will honor senior football players, cheerleaders, marching band members and Junior ROTC cadets, while providing the community with an exciting event to celebrate the end of the season.

Tickets are $5 in advance or at the gate, which is less than the gate for regular season games; and the admission fee will be waived for anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy that will be donated by the district to the Service League of Cherokee County’s Christmas Families program.
Advance tickets are being sold by high school football Booster Clubs.
