Sequoyah HS Literary Team Repeats As Region Champion
The Sequoyah High School Literary Team, coached by Josh Markham, this month achieved its second consecutive win.

Sequoyah High School has won the Region 6 AAAAAA Literary Team Championship for the second year in a row! The Sequoyah High School Literary Team, coached by Josh Markham, this month achieved its second consecutive win in the competition that includes extemporaneous speaking, essay and oral interpretation events.
Team members who earned first place in their category will compete at the State Literary Meet on March 18. They are: John Haas, Boys’ Solo; Levi Miller, John Haas, Slade Searcy and Andy Whittle, Boys’ Quartet; Kathryn Hunter, Personal Essay; and Mary Beth Dicks, Extemporaneous Speaking: Domestic.
Mr. Markham is assisted in coaching the team by fellow teachers Katie Maher, Elaine Dasher and Gerald Parker.
