Student Story: CCA Beta Club Explores Cherokee County Animal Shelter

CC Animal Shelter is "open door, compassionate, proactive, dedicated to humane education, invested in the welfare of pets in our community"

From Cherokee Charter Academy 4th Grade Student & Junior Beta Club Member Katie Houser:

The Junior Beta Club at Cherokee Charter Academy in Canton visited the Cherokee County Animal Shelter. We went to the animal shelter because we wanted to take the tour and learn about how they keep the animals. We also learned that there were not that many dogs and cats that day because so many loving people have adopted pets recently! That was really cool to see. But we know that there will be times when there are people who can't afford their pets, or need to find a new home for them because maybe they don't get along with people in their house. The animal shelter always needs pillow cases, blankets, towels, and food donations to help them take care of the pets. We also want to remind everyone to consider adopting the next time you want to get a new furry family member!
