Workshop To Help Residents Avoid Human Resources "Risks"
The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce will host its latest B.L.A.S.T.T workshop on April 8.

The human resources field can be a difficult field to navigate. Despite one’s best intentions, there are times a current or former employee may file suit against your company.
What do you do when that happens?
On April 8 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce B.L.A.S.T.T. Workshop, Fisher & Phillips attorney Tillman Coffey will walk you through each step of a human resources lawsuit and provide you with practical guidance to reduce your risk of liability.

Attendees will learn the steps to follow to “help ensure that you and your company are avoiding the risks of wrongful discharge, discrimination, retaliation and other common employment-related claims,” the Chamber said.
The cost of the workshop is $30 for Chamber members ($35 after April 1) and $55 for future members. Lunch will be provided. If you are interested in attending, please contact Amber Smithwick, Chamber education & workforce specialist at 770-345-0400 or at Amber@CherokeeChamber.com.
