Chattahoochee Alum Clint Boling Drafted by Bengals
Georgia product selected in fourth round of NFL draft.
NEW YORK, N.Y. β The Cincinnati Bengals made Alpharetta native Clint Boling their fourth round pick in this yearβs NFL draft at Radio City Music Hall.
The Chattahoochee High alum, who played college ball at the University of Georgia and was named to UGAβs Team of the Decade, finished his career with 49 starts as a tackle.Β The Bengals said they would use him as a guard
βI moved around a lot,β said Boling of his college career during a conference call with the Bengals. βI played left tackle, right tackle and right guard. As long as I can get on the field, whether itβs at tackle or guard, I just really want to get the opportunity to play.β

Boling, who was drafted 101st overall, said playing guard leaves him more inside and in a compact position.
βHe was in one of the group of guys that we had been talking about,β Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said in a statement. βWe wanted to try to address some spots there. I think heβs a good, young prospect, and he has played a lot of football there at Georgia. Now, itβs just about coming here and being able to take it and transition to the next level.

βI really feel like his strengths coming here give us a guy who will compete on the interior of the offensive line. Heβs a big man, heβs got some strength, and he really is a competitor. I feel heβll come to Cincinnati and both add some depth and have the chance to compete on the interior of the line.β
At Chattahoochee he was ranked as a top 10 offensive lineman by Rivals.com.
