Johns Creek Could See First Frost of Season Thursday Morning
Temperatures are expected to be in the mid 30s by 8 a.m. Time to bring in sensitive outdoor plants says the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued aΒ frost advisory,Β in effect from 2 to 9 a.m. Thursday,Β for portions ofΒ north and central Georgia, whichΒ includes Johns Creek and north Fulton. Temperatures are expected to range in theΒ mid 30s with frost possible before 8 a.m.Β Sensitive outdoor plants could be killed if left uncovered, according to the advisory.
The late-October chillΒ will result fromΒ surges of cold air expected to plunge into the eastern half of the country with a dip in the jet stream, reports theΒ Weather Channel. Some cities will see their first frost or freeze of the season, with low temps in theΒ Midwest dipping to the 20s or low 30s, and in the Southeast, to the low 30s as far south as north Georgia.
In Johns Creek, expect patchy frost and a low of about 36 Wednesday night and areas of frost through about 8 a.m. Thursday, according toΒ the NWS forecast. The highs are expected to reach the low 60s.Β
A frost advisory means that frost is expected. Johns CreekΒ could see another frost Friday night and early Saturday morning and maybe a freeze warning for parts of northern Georgia, according to the NWS'Β hazardous weather outlook.
