Johns Creek Supports Six Bridges Brewing During Pandemic
Before the coronavirus hit in March, Six Bridges Brewing in Johns Creek was preparing to have a busy summer with events.

JOHNS CREEK, GA β Before the coronavirus hit in March, Six Bridges Brewing in Johns Creek was preparing to have a busy summer packed with events.
The brewery is Johns Creek's first and only craft brewery, and Georgia's first and only father-son brewery.
"Our business was seeing steady growth," Clay Gridley said. He and his father, Charles, opened the brewery in late 2018. "It was looking like a very busy event season for us."

Once the coronavirus pandemic hit, Clay said they had to close their taproom for on-premise consumption and activities, other than to-go sales. But since Six Bridges supplies grocery stores, package stores, and more, their manufacturing was deemed essential.
"Our local community has been very supportive," Clay said. "I think a lot of people realized the importance of shopping locally."

Now, the brewery is nearly back to normal, although cash flow is always challenging, Clay said.
"Restaurants are buying kegs again, albeit, at a slower pace, but people are drinking out," Clay said. "We do have a good size patio, which fills up quick on the weekends."
Still, Clay said the brewery is focused on providing a safe place for people to work and customers purchase products, while staying flexible and adapting to a dynamic environment and market.
"The safety, comfort, and enjoyment of our guests and staff is of the utmost importance to us," Clay said. "I look at the state and national numbers several times a week. With it being dynamic, it's a constant assessment of our operations and procedures."
