Local Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic physicians named Top Doctors by Atlanta magazine

Drs. Linda D. Guydon and David D. Tanner of the Johns Creek office of Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic (6300 Hospital Pkwy, Suite 250) — the largest allergy practice in Georgia — were named to the 2014 list of Top Doctors in the July issue of Atlanta magazine.

Five additional Atlanta Allergy physicians joined Drs. Guydon and Tanner as Top Doctor honorees: Drs. Stanley M. Fineman, Kathleen A. Sheerin, and John A. Zora were also named to the 2014 list of Top Doctors in the July issue of Atlanta magazine, while Drs. David W. Carlton and Kevin L. Schaffer were included in the prestigious online Top Doctor listing by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a leading healthcare research company based in New York.

Atlanta magazine named a total of seven physicians to the allergy and immunology category of their 2014 Top Doctors list. With five Atlanta Allergy physicians named, the practice comprised more than 70 percent of the magazine’s Top Doctors list for allergy and immunology.

The Top Doctors listing is compiled annually by Castle Connolly. The organization also compiles Atlanta magazine’s list of Top Doctors annually. Doctors are nominated for consideration through both a nationwide survey and a peer nomination process open to licensed physicians in DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, and Gwinnett counties. Castle Connolly’s physician-led team of researchers then select the Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes an evaluation of educational and professional experience.

Dr. Guydon said the practice is honored to have so many of its board certified allergy named as Top Doctors this year. “This listing helps to recognize the important role specialists play in identifying and treating allergy and asthma conditions, and we’re thrilled to play such an important role in this treatment for the Atlanta community,” said Dr. Guydon. “It is an honor to be recognized alongside so many of my esteemed colleagues and other great physicians.”
