
OnΒ Saturday, November 16thΒ fromΒ 6:30 p.m. β 10:00 p.m.Β the National Parks Service is hosting its AutumnΒ OwlΒ ProwlΒ at theΒ Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center.
This event includes a campfire, night hikes, and liveΒ owlΒ programs courtesy of the Chattahoochee Nature Center.
Participants will enjoy roasting marshmallows around the campfire,Β listening to ranger stories and songs, drinking special ranger hot cider, making childrenβs crafts in the lodge, and the nocturnal sights,Β sounds, and beauty of the Chattahoochee on a ranger guided night hike.
They can also take anΒ OwlΒ IQ Test,Β meet liveΒ owls, and learn fascinating facts and fables about theΒ owlsΒ of the Chattahoochee RiverΒ National Recreation Area.Β LiveΒ owlΒ programs are courtesy of the Chattahoochee Nature Center,Β a National Park Service partner. Dressing for the weather, comfortable hiking shoes and a flashlight are suggested.
