The body of a missing 31-year-old Army Veteran and a graduate of South Forsyth High School was found around 6 p.m.Β Thursday in his car, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The car, a Ford Focus,Β was discovered by GSP who were called to investigate a traffic crashΒ at Johnson Ferry Road and Mill Creek.Β
In a statement to Patch, when troopers arrived they found the carΒ had left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and overturned.Β The exact day and time of the crash has not been determined at this time.
GSP is only investigating the crash.
A friend told 11 Alive NewsΒ thatΒ Ackerman was last seen leaving Hangovers Bar in Buckhead around 2 a.m. He reportedly had been out after going to a Braves game Monday night.

The family and friends of a South Forsyth High School graduate are seriously concernedΒ about the now Sandy Springs resident they say was last seen leaving a Buckhead bar intoxicated.
Randal Andrew Ackerman, 31, wasΒ reported missing to the Atlanta Police Department, according to its website,Β and was last known to be at 3182 Roswell Road on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.
Lost Dog Tavern is located at 3182 Roswell Road in Buckhead, according to its Facebook page. Β Police sayΒ Ackerman, an Army veteran, according to WSB-TV,Β may be driving a 2012 silver Ford Focus with an Alaska tag No.Β GKN254.
Described as a 5-foot-10-inch, 170-pound,Β Caucasian male with brown hair andΒ blue eyes, AckermanΒ was wearing a red T-shirt, khaki cargo shorts and tan flip flops, according to theΒ Facebook groupΒ Be on the Lookout: Andrew Ackerman.
