What's Going On Around Town This Week

The Johns Creek Patch calendar is full of news about events coming up in the weeks ahead. Here's a look at five of this week's community events.

Halloween Candy Buy Back, Monday, Nov. 4: The Children's Dental Zone has its annual Halloween Candy Buy Back opportunity. The dental office buys back kids Halloween candy for $1 per pound and donates it to a local charity benefiting our military.

Election Day in Johns Creek, Tuesday, Nov. 5: Head to the polls to elect a mayor and three council members, Find polling locations, a sample ballot, etc.

Perimeter School's Annual Veterans Day Celebration, Wednesday, Nov. 6: Enjoy rich history and inspiration from guest speaker, Veteran Hank Freedman (WWII and POW survivor). All veterans invited to come and be recognized.

Dancing with the Stars, Thursday, Nov. 7: "Dancing with Stars" FLEX class will introduce participants to the basic fundamentals of dance, including the Tango, Swing & Cha Cha Cha! Experience a workout while learning new, easy dance moves! No partner is needed and no dance experience is needed.

Groundbreaking for Johns Creek Veterans Walk, Saturday, Nov. 9: The Johns Creek Veterans Association and the City of Johns Creek will conduct a ceremonial groundbreaking of the Johns Creek Veterans Memorial Walk featuring acclaimed author and Vietnam War veteran John M. Del Vecchio as the main speaker.
