Entering autos and thefts continue to be prevalent in the business areas along Barrett Parkway, Town Center Mall and Chastain Road, according to the Cobb County Police Department Precinct 1 PENS newsletter.

Overnight entering autos in residential neighborhoods indicated a decrease in thefts, according to the newsletter. Daytime residential burglaries showed a decrease for the month of December 2013. Business burglaries showed an increase in December 2013. Theft by taking crimes showed a decrease in December 2013. Entering autos cases showed a decrease in December 2013.
