Director's Day & Civil War Battlefield Preservation Recognition

The Center for the Study of the Civil War Era will host past Directors of the Center, Michael K. Shaffer and Hermina Glass-Hill on 2/17/18.

Free and Open to the PublicDonations Welcome Online or at DoorThe Center for the Study of the Civil War Era will be hosting past Directors of the Center, Michael K. Shaffer and Hermina Glass-Hill. Please join us for their respective lectures, "Reminiscences: Seeking Ex-Slave Susie, but Preserving Place" and "We Must Study This Case: Preserving and Interpreting the Chattahoochee River Line." The Center will also recognize John Culpepper for his efforts to preserve Civil War sites and artifacts for the benefit of future generations. The Center invites all of those interested to join in honoring Mr. Culpepper for his past successes and ongoing involvement in preservation.
